The Van Ormer Canoe and Kayak Launch was developed by Glendale Industrial Development Association in partnership with Reade Township and was funded by a grant from the Pennsylvania Western Conservancy. The launch was built to allow for safe public access to the waterway and to promote outdoor recreation in the Glendale Area.
